This Thursday kicks off our new Gracie Self Defense Street Survival Class!  This class will consist of core self defense moves combined with a great cardio workout perfect for men and women.  Then, if you would like to stick around we will have an open mat roll for all emebers.  Come check it out!

 We will be hosting a takedown seminar tomorrow night(Wednesday) from 6 to 7:30. All members should attend. This is a seminar that you will not want to miss.  Come and check it out!  This is for members or non members.  A great chance to check out our Academy.

    We will be opening a competition training class every Friday night beginning this Friday. We will cover every aspect of competing and working with each individual to help you fight at your best.  This class is open even if you are not actively competing, thinking about competing, or just want to help out the team.  So don't miss it!

We are excited to announce that we will be adding new classes to our schedule beginning in September.  These classes are designed to take our jiu jitsu training to the next level.

   Our new strength and conditioning class will be designed to push your body to the limit and give you the best workout of your life.  Whether you are looking to get in shape and lose the summer pounds or getting ready for competition then you will want to come check it out.  

  We will also be adding a competition training class. This will prepare our members to compete at the top of their game.  If you want to compete and come home with the gold then this class is for you!

   Our next class will go back to the basics.  We will teach you how to defend yourself in a street attack situation.  We will be covering the core gracie jiu jitsu self defense techniques and learn to use them in real life situations.

   WOW!!! NAGA Wildwood 2011: Gabrielle Mosch two second place no gi finishes, one kids and one teens. Maddy Bailey second place no gi and gi; agreed to fight up a division at expert with a girl two years older. Ben Smith second place no gi. Connor Ekis saved his best match for last defeating his opponent 17-0.Laura Ortiz second place no-gi. Dylan Ekis fought two hard matches.

  The 3G seminar at Rosendo Diaz's academy was a great success!  Professor Fadi Khouri and Vicenti junior taught an outstanding workshop on everything to sneaky triangle chokes to de la riva guard.  Over 80 Third Generation members attended the event!  

  Also, big congratulations go out to Rick and Ryan Roth for receiving their purple belts and co-owner of Lancaster BJJ Brian Fisher for receiving his Brown Belt!  Great job guys and congrats on your success.

It was a great turnout at the Third Generation jiu jitsu team training in Chalfont Pa today.  It was a pleasure to train with our teammates and get them ready for upcoming tournaments.  Good job guys!

Women's self defense class is starting this Sunday,Nov. 14, at 2:00.  This will be a fun energetic way, for women only, to learn and apply  the core Gracie jiu jitsu self defense techniques.  While learning these "street certified"  techniques you will get the workout of your life!  An excellent way to get in shape.  This class will be taught by one of our own female instructors.The first class is FREE, so come on out and give us a try!!

 The Philly jiu jitsu cup will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Academy of the New Church, Asplundh Fieldhouse, 2775 Buck Road, Bryn Athyn, PA.  This tournament is held in cooperation with the long time running Philadelphia Judo Cup.  Divisions for both gi and submission grappling using the CBJJ rules.
