At Lancaster Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), students learn at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed or left behind. All of our group classes are taught with the utmost concern for safety, and we demand that all students treat each other respectfully, regardless of skill level, gender, race, nationality or creed.
Lancaster Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Ephrata promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger opponent by using leverage and proper technique, taking the fight to the ground – most notably by applying joint-locks, choke holds, and submissions to defeat the opponent. The training you receive from LBJJ can be used for sport grappling tournaments (gi / no-gi) and mixed martal arts (MMA) competition or self-defense. Sparring (a.k.a. "rolling") and live drilling play a major role in training.
“I've only been training for about 1 1/2 months and I love it! The instructors are great and the class size is just right”
"Incredible BJJ school!!!! I've been training at Lancaster BJJ for about a year now and am completely hooked! Brian and Keith are great at breaking down every aspect of the art. There's a great mix of experienced and beginners at every class. I'd go every day if I could!"
"After the first class, I was hooked. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and encourage a team learning environment"
"I not only learn from the instructors teaching styles, but I learn from the awesome classmates I train with. I look forward to class every week."
